Word of Encouragement for Moms

Picture by: prayer warriors for Jesus Christ

As a mother I often feel like I'm missing the mark, falling short,or am just plain inadequate as a mother. It's at these times I need encouragement from the Lord and others more than ever. This morning I was reading a morning devotion by Anne Graham Lotz, and it NEVER ceases to amaze me how our God gives us exactly what we need when we need it. This morning it was on mothers and prayer. Anne was speaking about a prayer book that her mother gave her - when she was a little gal- to specifically petition Jesus. In the front of the book her mother wrote:

Thou art coming to a King,
Large petitions with thee bring,
For His grace and power are such,
None can ever ask too much!

Our God knows what we need and is there to hear our hearts most inner cries, however large or small they may seem. Thank you Lord!

  1. Thanks Ash, it seems like the older they get (the more concepts and character issues you broach) the harder it gets. I lean more and more on Godly widsom every day.
Zion is still such a little guy...
I realize the older they get, the more incapable I am. Just wait until they hit their teens!
